Baron Brook Inn

Whitefield, New Hampshire

Welcome to Barron Brook Inn

The Barron Brook Inn was purchased in 2008. We are starting our 17th season. The inn has 20 hotel rooms with private baths and flat screen TVs. We serve continental breakfast, have a fire pit, horseshoes and a canoe on our 31 acres of Land.

We attribute our strong customer satisfaction to good beds and sheets, hot showers and enough USB connections to charge your devices. Let us know if we can do better in these areas as we are always trying to freshen up and update to keep up our guest satisfaction. All rooms are either Brook Side or Street Side with Brook Side rooms carrying a premium during peak periods.

Our Rooms

We have 20 charming rooms, each designed with your comfort in mind. Our room types consist of a Single Queen, Double Queen, Single King and one Family Suite. Room rates are based on double occupancy so the same charge for 1 or 2 in a room but an extra charge for more than 2 people 13 or older in Double Queen Room. The exception to the rule is our Family Suite with a rate based on up to 4 people and a capacity of 6. To access any of the hotel rooms there are stairs. All rooms have Flat Screen TVs for streaming but not traditional channels with our Guest Cast system. An app on your phone is required with knowledge of your User Name and Password for Apps like NetFlix, Hulu or your Cable Service like Spectrum, Comcast, or Satellite Dish or DirectTV. Our bathrooms are private and include a tub/shower, towels, soap, shampoo, lotion and hair dryers. We keep irons and ironing boards on the hallways to share with other guests. A limited number of Mini-fridges are available on request for a daily charge of $10/night. Ice buckets are in each room. Several ice chests are offered for use near the ice machine for those items that need to be kept cool for short periods.

The Property

Located on 31 sprawling acres along the junction of RT 3 where Whitefield meets Lancaster, our property offers a perfect retreat with a fire pit, horseshoe pit, and a canoe for serene adventures. With ample space for outdoor activities, guests can immerse themselves in nature's beauty while enjoying the charm of our picturesque surroundings.

A hotel room with two beds , a table and a television.

The Family Suite has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has two queen beds, television, table and two chairs. The second bedroom is a single queen bed with a table, chair and television. There is one private bathroom that both rooms share. This room is Street Side, but has a view of Mt. Washington.

These rooms have two comfortable queen beds with only one night stand making the rooms a little tight but sleeps 4 comfortable but no more. We want to keep the local Fire Marshall happy and our guests safe. Again, we have options for Brook Side and Street Side.

Double Queen Rooms

There is a large bed in the middle of the room.

Single King Room for those that want the ability to spread out in bed and relax with room to get comfortable without disturbing your bed-mate. Or the Single Queen Room which are typically our more economical option but frankly the beds are really comfortable

Amenities

We provide all rooms with clean towels in the rooms, soap, shampoo, lotion and hair dryers. We keep irons and ironing boards on the hallways to share with other guests. Our rooms do not have refrigerators, however we do rent a few mini-fridges for a daily charge of $10/night. We also keep ice chests near the ice machine as they often accomplish the job for cold beverages and those items that need to be kept cool for short periods. We have a coin operated washer and dryer with limited hours so as to not disturb other guests (should finish completely by 9 pm). We have a beautiful backyard in the White Mountains, that guests can enjoy on the back deck, in the hammock or down by the Barron Brook dock where the canoe awaits your enjoyment. At night we often have our fire pit. If we don't, just make the request and we will do our best to accommodate your group. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, but our favorite amenity is to be able to open windows with screens for fresh mountain air for a cool night's sleep.

A wonderful bed and breakfast stop! Everything is well maintained, clean and they provide a variety of options for their continental breakfast. Really appreciate Beth and Jason and all their recommendations. We had a terrific time hiking up Mt. Prospect and the Saturday morning farmers market in Lancaster. My daughter especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows out back by the cozy fire pit. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area. Thank you Jason and Beth for a wonderful experience!

"The building is old but well maintained. Room was super clean, bed was pillowy and comfortable. The decor has character and I mean that in the good way. No complaints about breakfast, and I personally appreciate real half and half for my coffee. The innkeeper is friendly and incredibly helpful, offers to help with luggage, and gave us a good suggestion for sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again."
